Hallowe’en at M.V. Beattie

Posted on 2021-10-27 07:00:00 +0000 UTC

This year the staff and students of M.V. Beattie will have the opportunity to wear Hallowe’en costumes Friday, October 29th. Classes will be working with their big/little buddy classes to participate in a Hallowe’en costume parade and “Monster Mash” lead by Mr. Doray.

When planning your child’s costume for the school day, please keep in mind the following guidelines.

  1. Keep fake weapons (i.e. swords, daggers, guns, etc.) at home and save them for Hallowe’en night.
  2. Keep blood and gore to a minimum — not too scary please.
  3. Hallowe’en masks will be allowed for the parade and dance but are not to be worn during class time.
  4. Choose a costume that is respectful of all individuals and cultures.
  5. Choose a costume that will not interfere with learning.

Students who do not want to wear a costume can show their school spirit by dressing in black and/or orange on this day!

We would also respectfully request that after Hallowe’en, candy in lunches be kept to a minimum.
