While everyone is aware of the challenges we have faced in having to adapt to a “gym-less” 4 months , I think it is important to recognize the exciting opportunities to “find” new ways to stay active.  Our Intermediate students are taking trips to Salmon Arm to participate in “Rock Climbing,” soccer/field games, and some will head to the pool once a week, while others will go skating.  Our primary students will have the opportunity to go to the Gym/JungleMania in Salmon Arm, the Drill Hall for Dance/Movement/games and the Enderby Arena for skating.  To make this work, our staff has had to be flexible about their schedules, trade library, music blocks and deal with countless permission forms (thank you, parents/guardians for signing them! ) – so, I wanted to publicly share my appreciation for their willingness to not just “make do” with our situation…but instead cooperate, collaborate and create “the very best” Physical Education opportunities possible.

A special note of appreciation goes to our students.  Just like the adults in the building, they have had to adapt and do things differently.  It is rare to ever hear a complaint – and they are quick to show their appreciation for these new opportunities.  Thank you, Wildcats, for staying positive – we are proud of you!
